I am a Mechanical Engineer, Data Scientist, & Software Developer based in the United States of America.
I am a natural born leader who enjoys problem solving, learning new skills, & taking on unique / challenging projects.
I spend my time working towards my many goals,
which spread across many disciplines, including:
I enjoy bringing others along as I tackle new projects as I am able to help them accomplish their own goals in the process. I am continually looking for new ways to improve myself, as there is always something new to learn.
I completed a 6-month online program through CalTech where I learned the fundamentals of artificial intelligence & machine learning. I learned the tools needed to build models & how to apply these skills to solve real-world problems.
The program was divided into 6 courses:
I graduated from CSM after 5 years of study. I learned the fundamentals of engineering, began my study of computer science, & participated in extracurricular activities such as Ultimate Frisbee & Ski Racing.

I spent one semester of school abroad in Madrid, Spain, at Universidad Pontificia Comillas. I took classes in Spanish to further my understanding of the language, while continuing forward on my path as an engineer.
I spent another semester away from school to take an internship as a Heading Engineer intern at a tunnel boring operation in downtown Los Angeles. This project was recently completed in 2022 & is now a functional part of the Los Angeles Metro System.
I am currently working at Samsung Austin Semiconductor as an engineer in the Innovation Branch. Specifically, I am a chiller engineer in the Pumps, Chillers, & Scrubbers department (PCS).
In this role, I am applying data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency & also driving engineering projects forwards to improve equipment operation.
I moved to Tainan, Taiwan to work with TSMC as an Equipment Engineer in the nano-diffusion department. Specifically, I was working in the low pressure Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) department.
I went to Taiwan to train as a sponsor of ALD Furnace Tools for the leading edge 5nm semiconductor manufacturing process. The intent was to prepare for the start up the new advanced semiconductor fabrication facility in Phoenix, AZ
Upon graduation from University, I started working for Wunderman Thompson, previously known as Possible Mobile. I was hired to become a software developer, specializing in iOS applications (Apple products) coded in the Swift & Objective-C languages.
I worked on two different teams during my time there, learning industry front-end & back-end practices for software development. I performed bug fixes & was the part of multiple feature teams.
I participated in business operations for Callaway in San Diego, California, related to the manufacturing of golf clubs.
My second internship, was as a heading engineer for Traylor in tunnel boring in downtown Los Angeles, California.
My first internship was as a mining engineer for Kiewit on an open pit phosphate mine in Soda Springs, Idaho.
This company is my own that I founded with my good friend & business partner, Kevin Liao.
While we were in university, we decided to give our own company a try, as we wanted to learn new skills in software & in business. We began as an iOS app development firm, though most of the work we did was a learning experience & training for the trade. We developed an app that was published to the official Apple App Store, named MyCaddie, a golf assistant app. We have since made two iOS apps, though they have not been publicly deployed.
To this day, we continue working on the foundation of the company and intend to build it over time. For now, we both have full-time jobs, so progress is slow. Once we have more freedom in our careers, we intend to pivot our initial strategy & break into the world of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
The purpose of this project is to produce a machine-learning model to predict the winners of the 2023 March Madness college basketball tournament.
During a mechanical engineering class in University, I worked with a classmate to create a video-gaming glove. The glove was able to play games within itself & also act as a controller for external video games.
